MANILA, Philippines – Pope Francis leads an ordinary public consistory at Saint Peter’s Basilica on Saturday, December 7, to create 21 new cardinals of the Catholic Church.
Kalookan Bishop Pablo Virgilio David, president of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines, is among the new members of the College of Cardinals.
The consistory in the papal chapel of Saint Peter’s Basilica is scheduled at 11 pm (Manila time) on Saturday.
